wow I never knew such a thing existed and wasn't that guy in Fast Times?

I've watched plenty of really bad movies, and I have a high tolerance, but here is a list of those I couldn't watch all the way through:
Planet of the Vampires-There should be an official rule that if a movie has the word vampire in the title then the movie should lead with vampires. I watched almost an hour of this turkey and still not one vampire.
Eraser head
Buckaroo Bonzai
Some weird japanese movie where this guy slowly turns himself into a cyborg by inserting machine parts into himself and replacing his limbs with robotic ones.
Ichii the Killer-the anime`, this one wasn't a bad movie, it's just the subject matter was too brutal to sit through.
Memoirs of a Geisha, and I love Michelle Yeoh too.
agree that. Where the hell is Alex Cox???????????????????????????? ratoonie said:

Young Guns(+everything with E.Estevez ´cept Repoman)
Lost Boys(+everything with Kiefer Sutherland)
Flubber(+everything with Robin Williams)
Omen 2006
(most horror re-makes i have seen after the millenium, are unwatchable(´cept maybe Crazies)
Buttcrack - a troma flick - I sat thru it, but just barely, my girlfriend made me.
ok iv just ordered my p3-24, got a red one with the TTpsu for 450. SOLD!!
thanks for the help. i was swinging towards the pro-ject mainly because i fell in love with the little counter weight thing they have. but makes more sense to go with rega since i have upgraded parts on the p2 that should work. never noticed that Pro-ject expression III tho. nice tt, did it come with tha carbon swingarm?
I have a Pro-ject expression III and it's really great. I can't say too much about the Rega because I have no experience with their products. I do however, recommend that you re post you question on Audiokarma.org. There are many threads on topics just like this or of you sign up and post your own a ton of people ( audio nerds!) will chime in.
Damn... sounds like new turntable time. Malkie Broon said:

and glued the spindal so it must be motor. im stuck between the p3-24 and the Debut-III. didnt know about the speed box alex was talking about, does that make the speed more consistant or is just for switching rpm?

The speed box does both. It makes the speed more constant and it also allows for switching between 33 and 45.

I have a Project Debut-III (and I added on the speed box). It's incredible. Really great player.
yip it has crossed my mind few times before for there build quality and durability but prefer the arm on my old rega over the 1210's. but comparing them is like night and day i also want to mount my audiotechnica cartidge, whitch would only mean me having to mod the 1210
Oh. Yeah, a little word like that can be amazingly helpful to new discussion topics. Just a tip!
And on that note, just get a Technics 1200 series. They won't crap out on ya. Friggin' tanks. There's another topic in this forum about them, in fact.
turntables
Just curious... is there anyone who doesn't use paint to express his creativity, but solid 3D-Art?
I don't care if you use stone, wood or putty, just show your work! ;)
The work I did so far was/is based on green-stuff, an 2K resin-putty and so tiny that its not worth showing. (Beside of that it NOT in Rock'n'Roll context. :))
Next to come from my side is somekind of Tikki-Paintpot...
what makes a single malt so much better than say a jameson?
Yeah, it looks pricey on the shelf, but a few of those drunk at home is cheaper than shit beer at bar when you add it up.
Here's a few favorite bangs for the bucks of mine:
Aberlour
Bowmore
Old Pulteney
Highland Park
You can get them all at my favorite place for around or under $35 for a 750ml (Warehouse Wines & Spirits in Manhattan). And there's plenty of things worth drinking that start popping up in the $20+ range (McClellands, Bowmore Legend, Tomintoul).
I play a modified version of the Intervention Drinking Game, which I originally found here: http://www.lindsayism.com/2005/04/intervention_th.html If you've seen the show, you know there's common events and some special ones (like in my version you take a shot if the subject literally runs out of their intervention), so it's an easy one to get a game out of. Oh, and the irony is fun. If you were too lazy to click the link, here's examples of drinking occasions: - Take a drink if the addict has ever been remotely famous. - Take a drink if the addict's parents have lost their house because of the addict. - Take a drink each time anyone prays. As you can see, fun for the whole family.
I love'em too... Can you trust it? Ah!ah! Thank you, Best, Daddy'O.
I like the cars :)
nice
Fucking hippies, were they counting on people to just behave themselves? cause that just isn't gonna happen!
You couldn't do an event, from where I am, with this sorta slack health and safety practice. They would nail you to the wall for trying. I would have thought there would be a million permits to get etc to put on an event of this size?
The crazy thing about the festival is that it was free and funded through sponsorship. So I can't imagine that anyone would have gained that much even if it were a success.
But it was a guarantee that there would be more than 500,000 people there because the last two years saw attendences of 800,0000 and 1.2 million. Some work collegues went and told me that there was just one security guy on the door without even a radio.
