The Roth cartoon on my profile page is from the famous Cartoons mag from '63. Here's the back cover below. I think the mag ran until the early 80's. Shawn Kerry, a somewhat well known cartoonist in the LA punk scene (Circle Jerks, Eddie & the Subtitles etc) even drew for the mag for a short time.

I like a bit of politics in some songs, I think Rancid strike a good balance by not getting too preachy. Give me some social commentary and politics (whether I agree or not) over constantly complaining about wrist cutting and bad breakups. Having said that, some folk lose sight of music and fun and turn into Billy Bragg and use the mic to bore me to death.

I know of Airtech - they have some cool stuff.

Kinda have to agree with ya man. But if you ever are interested in changing your mind, check out airtechstreamlining. My buddy here in SD works there. they make fiberglass bodywork for motos. They have molds for just about everything or can do custom work. If nuthin else, browse the website to check out the cool stuff...might spark some inspiration. power chord hack said:

Ya, I usually ride sans fairing for just boppin' round town, but when high speeds and high miles loom, I bolt it back on. I've seen some in the $fifty$ range that should serve your purpose, but would definitely alter the style you've achieved with yours, but not neccesarily in a bad way... That lid was "the find" of the year. One bill on craigslist! I wanted it as soon as they came out, but couldn't bring myself to empty a wallet over another Arai with my current one still in tip top. Met one of my mates for pints later that night and watched his jaw drop. Apparently he called just after I walked out the seller's door...(smirking)...Now he's reminded of his poor misfortune everytime we ride. power chord hack said:

Currently reading Vonnegut's "God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater", and am finding it's not one of his best, although I can't imagine he's ever written anything bad. Also just re-read "Catcher in the Rye" as I had all but forgotten it from grade school and my interest re-piqued on Salinger's passing. Margaret Atwood's "The Handmaid's Tale" is just waiting for me to pick it up. I'm ashamed to say that I'm Canadian & have yet to read any Atwood, and I really enjoy dystopian novels.

locally i'm a fan of mill st coffee porter and tankhouse ales
in clubs it's usually Guinness if I'm lucky enough for them to have it and know how to pour
in a pinch stella when they are useless at ales and stout

i brewed my own for many years but don't any longer. the u brew i used closed and i couldn't find another with a mash tun

My hobby this winter was sampling various porters. The hands down winner was the Long Trail Imperial Porter. Too bad it's a seasonal brew. It started this whole process because I had to come up with a suitable substitute. Coming in second was the Rock Art Double Porter Smoked. Good enough to get me through to next winter. Both of these are from Vermont breweries.

My two would definitely have to be a bic lighter (since the cheap lighters usually chip), and a counter top edge is always great when available ;D
