For those of you who don't know, this is a podcast I do weekly on the Outlaw Radio Network, which is headed by Jahshie P (the host of "Outlaw Radio Chicago") and Shooter Jennings who has this as a subpage on his "Black Country Rock" website. The show is a "Southern-themed" musical hodgepodge ranging in the genres: classic honky tonk, '50's rockabilly, vintage bluegrass (Flatt & Scruggs, Stringbean), cowpunk (Hells Fire Sinners, Them Slack Jawed Sons Of Bitches, Flat Tires), psychobilly ( Hillbilly Casino, Crypt Creepers, Rumble Club), underground Southern rock (Guns Of Nevada, Polecat Boogie Revival, Joecephus & the George Jonestown Massacre), "Southern state rock 'n' roll" (Cooterfinger, Deadly Vibes, Hickoids, Porch Ghouls), and bands and performers who "fit the mold" (Southern Culture On the Skids, Junior Brown, the Tremors, Supersuckers, Drive-By Truckers, Jason & the Scorchers, Whiskeytown) plus tunes from purists like Willie Nelson, David Allan Coe, Steve Earle, Waylon Jennings, and Shooter himself. A chat room is available and open to all, but it isn't necessary to join in the conversation to listen. There is a podcast jukebox, and a download link is provided if you would like to subscribe.
