I even wonder how they make their nominations, especially with Chic & Public Enemy being two of them.

Based on the above list I'd vote for:
- Albert King
- Joan Jett
- Deep Purple
- Paul Butterfield
- The Marelettes

Fun and some of the ones who have been kicked out are ones I quite agree with. Madonna, like I've said, is just cruise ship fodder. Likewise Abba. Some of the hip-hop artists have been kicked out for the simple reason that hip-hop should have it's seperate hall of fame (It's big enough in its own right to warrant one, isn't it?).
I'm not sure about Crass being inducted into the RRRHoF, as Penny Rimbaud openly said they were more influenced by the avant-garde than rock'n'roll. Then, I bet they'd be sceptical of it too.
I bet one of our nominations would be inducted by Mojo Workout for 2013 and the corporate one's are nowhere alike. Without more ado, here are the nominations for 2013:
Not very likely The Sonics or Joe Meek'll be inducted this year.

Our fellows from Mojo Workout on RPR have done the fun job of flushing out the inductees that shouldn't have been inducted in their opinion; then inducted some that should have been inducted !
Pretty fun !
YEAH , THE VELVETS ARE IN THE "REAL " HALL , AS I RECALL. bUT , I'VE NEVER SEEN A LIST OF EVRYBODY IN IT. I'm sure I would want to see at least half of them in the Hall , too. They can even use the front door. Heads first.
Yeah, John,

In no particular order & I can't stop at ten!
LEADBELLY (Who should be in The Hall of Fame.) could fill in for Guthrie , were they both alive , and sing "The Bourgeois Blues".

Personally I agree with Arlo Guthrie when his father Woody was posthumously inducted and he said to the crowd of well dressed millionaires; "I don't know what my father would be if he were alive today but I can tell you one thing, he wouldn't be here."

Link Wray
Love (Arthur Lee)
Syd Barrett
( why are these first 3 not in the hall right know?)
13th Floor Elevators
The Creation
The Easybeats
Spirit
Sixto Rodriquez :)
in near future:
Man Or Astro-Man?
Black Lips
Ty Segall
Thee Oh Sees
White Stripes
Forgive me for digressing, but if Michael Jackson was convicted of being a paedo, would he be kicked out of the RRHoF?
I see so many good ones. Mine would be:
The Minutemen
The Cramps
13th Floor Elevators
MC5
Love
X-Ray Spex
Television
The Sonics
The Wailers
Os Mutantes
Wire
Dead Kennedys
The Monks
WELLLLLLL.....I'd say he's a Cracker Soul singer like Wayne Cochran and Tom Jones , in a more "ROCK" Setting.

I don't hear the "soul" in Arthur Brown, but that Crazy World Of Arthur Brown LP is pretty good. More going on than just the one hit.

He is one of Britain's finest soul singers, after all. He should be in the RRHoF by right.

If I'd had 20 choices , I'd already have considered putting Brown on my list , which is no slight on his importance , nor his enormous talent as a writer , singer and even dancer . He's VERY difficult to classify , as he's done early Space Rock , Post - Freakbeat Psych- Rock , Electronica (Not the butt - shakin' , coke snortin' variety , HA HA.), AND HIS OWN TAKE ON BLUES and R'n'B. THE HELL OF IT IS , HE'S PROBABLY AN EVEN BETTER SINGER , NOW , THAN WHEN MY BROTHERS AND I USED TO PLAY OUR "FIRE' SINGLE IN THE DARK AND SCARE THE PISS OUT OF OURSELVES.
Chris Henniker said:I considered him as a possible wild card, but my lists would be too big otherwise.

Yes , for the "Snatch and The Poontangs" LP ALONE , Johnny Otis should have his own wing in the Hall of Fame. That, and his gallant efforts to save The Party Record (Leroy and Skillet , LaWanda Page , Mantan Moreland , etc.).

Melissa , I remember , Mick Farren was part of a big panel of celebs in Roctober (BTW , Deviants , Pink Fairies , Jesse Hector , Third World War.......) that was asked "Should Pat Boone be in The Rock 'n'Roll Hall of Fame?". He said , "Not when Roky Erickson and Syd Barrett are'nt in it. Is Gene Vincent in it , yet?". He was , by then , but , of course , buried under Kool and The Gang , James Taylor and Bread.
At least , most of the (Then- ) surviving Elevators were honored by The Texas Music Hall of Fame.....

Yes, Roky Erickson should already be in. That's a no brainer. Politics and $$$ make the H o F what it is, no? And, it's expensive. :(
