OK, I noticed something that you forgot so far, and its a big one. ? Mark & the Mysterians-96 tears, an -action. Both albums are solid from start to finish with not a bum track. These are hard to beat.

Ahhh...nevermind what I said about the HumanBeinz album. Im now onto side2 and there going terribly mellow-yellow on me. Certainly not a top contender for a kickass best garage albums list. Seriously just buy the 45 instead peeps.I want my money back. Too many 1-hit wonders in the garage genre. Thats the only thing I can say thats better about the revivalist bands. At least you get a full album of what you're paying for. We should have a list of best garage bands too avoid LPs by. Hahaa. Cus' lots of these groups ruled ass for such a brief time before switching trends.

      Duke Of Earl said:
Well, I dont do lists because that means I have remember stuff, and well even then I'd usually forget something but Human Beinz-Nobody But Me is worth checkin out. Im still looking for the Leaves record. I'll bet thats good. I never find it. I gotta find the Dutch Outsiders record in this lifetime without getting ripped off too.

Rarities that give the obvious choices a run for there money are always my favorite to hear about in these postings.

I like that choice of the Ugly Ducklings LP, thats underated. What is the best Guess Who record before they got suckier, and mainstream? I saw one in the bins with yellow cover called shakin all over(johnnykidd&pirates) but I didn't snap it up because I was afraid it might have too many mellow clunkers on it like there later more common records did.

      Hi!

A Medwayband that's almost forgotten and definitely shouldn't be:

THE KRAVIN' "A"'S - Krave On

As if the early Beatles and the dirtiest Sonics had written their best songs together.

And by the way, if anybody wants to get rid of the vinyl of this...

You're right. The Buckinghams were King of a Drag. But the rest of that album is pretty good indeed.

i gotta say tho, compilations no matter how cool or legendary shouldn't really count as albums.
I don't know if I can agree with that last statement. Except for the fact that Have Love, Will Travel got left off for some reason, and The Witch sounds attrocious, I really dig FULL FORCE by the Sonics from 1984 over HERE ARE and BOOM and I don't think you can go wrong with SURELY, THEY WERE THE SONS OF GOD with 16 Mighty Caesar tracks for a Crypt comp. Everything everyone here has chosen is a great garage album and makes me feel proud. But you did forget to mention either HOWL or HUNGER by the Makers. But that's alright. It's hard to get use to what they did to themselves over the years.

I wanna throw in the some originators from the previous era's:

A couple a BO DIDDLEY albums,
      some by LITTLE RICHARD,
      some of ESQUERITA,

and some spins by the TIMELES Haze.

It's out of the Genre, but without those (and a whole big bunch of others and their Albums swarming) = NO GARAGEROCK.

      LOVE,
      IDON

I'll throw another one out for the hell of it: STAY SICK by The Cramps. I know most folks probably like their earlier stuff better, but this has always been my favorite due to "Shortin' Bread," (I've used that one for a radio promo) "All Women Are Bad," "Muleskinner Blues" and especially "Bikini Girls with Machine Guns."

How the hell is a Cavegurl supposed to choose just one? Okay, Okay...I'll spare ya the obvious...like those essential Nuggets, Pebbles, Bomp, Rubble, Back from the Graves, Trash Box Set comps etc.

      I adore '60's garage AND the 80's revival neo-garage.
      anything by:
      The Attack
      The Creation
      GRAVEDIGGER V
      Jason Crest
      We The People
Jesse Hector/ Hammersmith Gorilla's (I beg to differ with some...It IS GARAGE!
