  Just read this on Facebook... Thee Vicars have a page here on the Hideout.
  
  Sad news. Chris Langeland, guitarist and co-songwriter with Thee Vicars (the one on the right in the photo below), was found dead late on Wednesday evening. I'll be attending the funeral in Bury St Edmunds on Tuesday 7th August.

  I saw them at the 31st Street Pub here in Pittsburgh a couple of years ago. I really liked them, and I'm also sorry to hear about the loss.

  So sad and tragic... I had just ordered a bunch of Thee Vicars 7"s as I heard the news, weird... Kind of ironic though, that it was this piece of news that led me to the Hideout (yup, I'm as green as they come), as I saw someone share the Hideout post about the tragedy and followed up on the lead.
  
  But hey, it just goes to show that you should make the most of the party called life while it lasts, Chris and the Vicars sure did... RIP.

  Wow. This is really terrible news.
  
  Was a big fan of Thee Vicars, especially around the time of Psychotic Beat!, and played them endlessly on the Dandelion show. What a shame.

  Too, too young. Saw them a few years back in Spain and if I recall right, one of their mothers was with them for the trip. Just kids. But a great band none the less. Condolences to all who knew him.
