If there isn't already, or plans underway, this would be amazing. You know, sorta like Goner Fest, but GaragePunk Hideout fest! :)

Hmmmm.....I don't think you guys get it. Read back a couple of pages. @Triple Thick - Have a look at the events section of the Hideout. There you will find garagepunk sponsored bills put together by members in various cities for general promotion/good times.
Hope this gets off the ground, meanwhile how about some garagepunk sponsored bills put together by members in various cities for general promotion/good times?
I'd be willing to help put something together in Boston.
Oh, please, someone do this. I'm sure we would all pitch in. And yes, one in Europe, one in U.S....though the U.S. is vast. We might have to meet in the middle. But we could showcase all these bands and meet our DJ's. It sounds bloody brilliant.
Sydney trumps Adelaide! Yay to Coopers, SA
Hhahaha, VERY local power.

I really like the virtual/video live simulcast idea. Since the Hideout is virtual -- it makes total sense.
I can think of several locations where there are studios available for this purpose. There's a place right here tied to local radio that would be perfect. The video part? Doable.
I'm game -- and Kopper is sending out virtual NODs -- :-)

Maybe an online concert in real time that could go from location to location around the world with different bands playing at home. Charge memebers a few bucks so they can view it live!

Hey Kopper! Kewl AS -- Thank you! And of course, you will be the first to know :-) Mel
I don't mind. If you need a word, then GO. Do it. You already have the site to use to network and get the word out, so good luck and keep us posted!

We've got plenty o' bands right here on the Hideout to get at least an entire day/night of bands to play here in the Southern Hemisphere. The Hideout Goes Down Under. :-) A satellite event to be sure. And a good network of radio stations to spread the word...
Just saying... give us the word and we'll get crackin'...

Aaaww! Thanks! Now, I think I just got killed and revived by that!!
Should you come along, we would sink that ship!

No, just your ass contains enough talent and awesomeness. The US couldn't handle the whole of you.

I'd love to tear shit up with everyone!!!!

@John - I wish we were playing Cosmic Trip! Maybe next year! Have a good one John and let me know if you're coming to the continent.
@Nathan - Hmmm. That's a good idea! A virtual festival. But not live. We can get a line-up and edit a cool video. Kind of like the Hideout comps but visual! Consider it the first video podcast!

I'm in! @ Chris, leave a slot for KKBB if you go ahead with this, I'm sure we can get our French Label to help with promotion. We can probably get the Love Me Nots interested too. We're label mates & are planning some Euro tours together. BTW, you gonna be around in May? Perhaps you can make it down to Cosmic Trip? It would be great to see you. It's been ages. Say hi to Reni & anyone else I know in Bern.
Jon Weiss posted a blog entry here recently mentioning he may revive the Cavestomp! festivals in NYC, too. We can just call those Hideoutstomps! Hey, this is easy, and fun!

Your absolutely right. The Ruhrgebiet is more Garage than Berlin! But what about Köln? Wait a sec, we could just rename the Soundflat Ballroom Bash as The GaragePunk Hideout Ballroom Bash. That would save a lot of money and hassle. Done. Who's going?

Couldn't we do it in Essen? Berlin gets all the glory, and I could help out on the beer stall.

Well, if it's kinda like make-believe I guess we would do one on each continent (or at least North America and Europe). I would organize the Euro side of things (after I received generous donations from GaragePunk Hideout members totaling 20,000 Euros). I would probably do it in northern Italy or Switzerland - Springtime or early summer starting in 2014 because of logistics! Or Autumn in Germany. Preferably Berlin! Can't wait!
