    • Don't have their record/CD but they did a killer show in Austin, TX, last year during the Chaos in Tejas Fest (at Red 7, May, 2008).

    • Gosh, haven't they been though a lot of drummers in such a short time. Not a very busy night down STATTO.

    • I'm using United right now, my test pressings came back alittle fucked up sounding and so far they been super cool to deal with about getting all the problems looked after. ~T Feathered Apple Records said:

We've pressed all our 45's through United & all have sounded great. Never had a problem with them. We also just pressed an LP with them & sounds great so far. Good people to deal with as well.

    • I've just heard that there is pressingplant here in Sweden, does anyone have any info about it? Is it the same plant that was/is in Jönköping?

Some friends of mine has worked with Handle With Care in Germany and they have also been pleased with their work.

One thing about GZ is that they can press your records very fast, at least they have done that the times we have asked them that we need the records very fast (for a tour etc.). We received a 7" on 1 1/2 week a couple of years ago and that was really great.

    • The czech place did a good job on our (the interceptors) first single - that was a while back though - very popular amongst bands from the north east of england it seems...

    • We use GZ Digital Media in the Czech Republic for most of our stuff. We have been pleased with their work so far except for a couple of times. We have also pressed at Musicol Recordings in the USA and we are very pleased with their work: http://www.musicolrecording.com/ Andreas

    • Damn, this really sucks.
I saw them twice in the middle '80s in Italy, they were the wildest act I've ever saw in my life. The day after I bought Psychedelic Jungle in my favourite record shop... I went to one of their show a couple of years ago, they still nailed it!
I've been sad the whole day yesterday when I had the news.
      You'll be missed, Lux.

Like most of us here I suppose, The Cramps were the beginning of it all for me : real cool music, cool movies, cool trash culture and, most of all : a real cool WAY OF LIFE.
Life was suddenly much more fun with The Cramps and all the doors they'd opened...
Aaaaarrgghhh....feels like I've lost someone from own family...my SOUL FATHER or something like that...
All my thoughts go to Ivy ...

      Very sad news.
      It sucks.
I also thought about Poison Ivy...condolences to her

      Lux RIP.

    • To adapt a lyric from my old drunk friend, beat cowboy poet Kell Robertson, "Come on in, Lux, it's cool and dark inside."

He was a great one. All of us in here owe him a lot. Peace be upon you, Mr. Interior. And peace to all my friends in the Hideout.

    • Rock n Roll suffered a great loss. RIP Lux, gone but never forgotten!

    • His physical body can die, but the true essence of what Lux IS cannot die or be destroyed. Ditto for all the great men we have lost so recently.

    • I will never forget the first time I saw Lux and the Cramps - they opened my eyes to what could be in music. RIP Lux.

    • I was wishing this was untrue.
      but alas, Lux is gone.

One of my top favorite performers of all time.

I only got a chance to see them once...
      but it blew my mind...

      Love you Lux.

    • Totally weakening, i can't believe it. Lux was a legend, the Cramps have been a huge influence to me, their early stuff especially.. R.I.P.

Great poster, but he was born in 1946, though (according to Wikipedia and the Cramps' website).

    • Shit, crap, damn, bloody hell, what the fuck.
      Just heard the news here.
Nearly all the Ramones are gone and now good old freaky Lux.
I feel a bit down now as everyone can imagine.
Say hello to Elvis from us Lux.

    • I think one of the best compliments I ever heard paid to Lux (& Ivy) was from Andre Williams at the Viper Room in LA about 10 years ago. Acknowledging Lux & Ivy from the stage he said "We may not be the same color, but we all came from the same pussy".

It goes without sayin' that the Cramps are one o' the most trashy bands (and one o' my top favs of all time!) and without them turnin' me on this sleaze...well, shit I don't wanna think about that...fuckin' sad.

Does anyone have any other sources other than the Daily Swarm (which ain't the most journalistic)

Glad I got to see 'em live a few years back...sad I only got to see 'em once...
