Back in November, I checked them out on MySpace and I was pretty excited. Later that month, they played the Bowery Ballroom, sandwiched between the A-Bones and King Khan & BBQ. I was mighty disappointed: Very same-y sounding the entire time.
Don't have their record/CD but they did a killer show in Austin, TX, last year during the Chaos in Tejas Fest (at Red 7, May, 2008).
Anyone know where I can get a copy of these tracks? Or if anyone has them, would they be willing to burn a copy for me?
Session was recorded in '93 and I believe the track listing is:
1.Tall Order
2.Death Bedside Manner
3.We Need More
4.Never Will
5.I Hate People (Anti Nowhere League Cover)
Thanks,

Here's a sad story. If you can help: DO SO! In Memphis there's a 4-year old little girl fighting cancer. She needs to have surgery and her parents need real money for that. Her mom is called Amy Ives and her dad is Zac Ives, co-owner of Goner Records. Her name is Anna and you can read all about this sad story at the goner site: http://www.goner-records.com/anna/ There's a load of people auctioning off lots of stuff on eBay to raise money for Anna. Check those auctions, of rare records for instance, out here: http://www.goner-records.com/AnnaIvesAuctions/ Nasty Product wants to help her. we decided to send all of the money collected by the sales of our records in february to support Anna & her parents... Records are 3 euros including shipping cost Still available : NP07 King Custer & The Magnetix 12" (last copies) NP12 The Plutones 7" NP13 The Golden Boys 7" (few copies) NP14 The TouchMeNots 7" (few copies) NP15 El Vicio 7" NP16 Movie Star Junkies 7" (last copies) NP17 Feeling of Love 7" (last copies) NP19 Love Killed my Brain 2 7" NP20 Digger & the Pussycats 7" (few copies) NP21 Jack of Heart 7" (last copies) www.myspace.com/nastyproduct mail(at)nastyprod(dot)com
They had me at bikini Girls with Machine Guns, but I admit,I always took em for granted(I have too many bands to obsess over) and the loss totally got me down. Hope Ivy and em are all right.
Damn...Saw the Cramps in 78 and they blew me away. In 1980 he invited The Cudas to support The Cramps in London and Lux was a most gracious host, really went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The Feelies were on the same bill and their management tried to muscle them in to play after us in the prime support, but Lux put his foot down and ensured the order of the bill was respected. He was a real Rock 'N' Roll fan, shaker and mover and a real gentleman to boot.
Damn, this really sucks.
I saw them twice in the middle '80s in Italy, they were the wildest act I've ever saw in my life. The day after I bought Psychedelic Jungle in my favourite record shop... I went to one of their show a couple of years ago, they still nailed it!
I've been sad the whole day yesterday when I had the news.
You'll be missed, Lux.

...
Like most of us here I suppose, The Cramps were the beginning of it all for me : real cool music, cool movies, cool trash culture and, most of all : a real cool WAY OF LIFE.
Life was suddenly much more fun with The Cramps and all the doors they'd opened...
Aaaaarrgghhh....feels like I've lost someone from own family...my SOUL FATHER or something like that...
All my thoughts go to Ivy ...
I thought he was some sort of immortal god.
Very sad news.
It sucks.
I also thought about Poison Ivy...condolences to her
Lux RIP.
makes the world suck just a little bit more, doesn't it?

To adapt a lyric from my old drunk friend, beat cowboy poet Kell Robertson, "Come on in, Lux, it's cool and dark inside."
He was a great one. All of us in here owe him a lot. Peace be upon you, Mr. Interior. And peace to all my friends in the Hideout.
Rock n Roll suffered a great loss. RIP Lux, gone but never forgotten!
His physical body can die, but the true essence of what Lux IS cannot die or be destroyed. Ditto for all the great men we have lost so recently.
I will never forget the first time I saw Lux and the Cramps - they opened my eyes to what could be in music. RIP Lux.
I was wishing this was untrue.
but alas, Lux is gone.
One of my top favorite performers of all time.
I only got a chance to see them once...
but it blew my mind...
Love you Lux.
Totally weakening, i can't believe it. Lux was a legend, the Cramps have been a huge influence to me, their early stuff especially.. R.I.P.
Thank you, Kopper... It's now corrected and uploaded... (if it hasn't changed: clear cache/history in browser) kopper said:
Great poster, but he was born in 1946, though (according to Wikipedia and the Cramps' website).
Psychotonic said:Tonight, if you're in Los Angeles, Psychotonic at The Bigfoot Lodge will have a whole night dedicated to Lux Interior & the Cramps...
For more information, check out the events page (http://garagepunk.ning.com/events) for Thursday, February 5th.
When I heard this news last night, suddenly the whole damn world seemed a lot less fun.

I'm using United right now, my test pressings came back alittle fucked up sounding and so far they been super cool to deal with about getting all the problems looked after. ~T Feathered Apple Records said:

I've just heard that there is pressingplant here in Sweden, does anyone have any info about it? Is it the same plant that was/is in Jönköping?
Some friends of mine has worked with Handle With Care in Germany and they have also been pleased with their work.
One thing about GZ is that they can press your records very fast, at least they have done that the times we have asked them that we need the records very fast (for a tour etc.). We received a 7" on 1 1/2 week a couple of years ago and that was really great.
The czech place did a good job on our (the interceptors) first single - that was a while back though - very popular amongst bands from the north east of england it seems...
