    • "Voix de Garage" is an ode :

to beautiful songs starting with "1.2.3.4!!!",

      to 3-notes guitar solos,

      to ear-bleeding larsens,

to bands with less than two 7'' releases,

      to bass tom-based drum breaks,

      to simplistic bass lines.

But also to glitter and to guitar amps tuned up to 11!!!

In brief, Voix de Garage is the show for 1963 to 2013 garage, punk and rock 'n roll lovers!!!

It is in French, folks, take the opportunity to learn our 4 letters words ;)

Gabba gabba we accept you one of us!!!

We are delighted and excited to announce the MODSTOCK program here http://www.newuntouchables.com/home/

Early bird tickets are on sale now here www.229thevenue.co.uk

Write this date in your diary and grab yourselves a piece of the action folks, this is the BIG one. New Untouchables present ‘MODSTOCK- 50 years of Mod’ in London, the birthplace of Mod.

The Mod phenomenon has touched the hearts and souls of so many people and is still influencing fashion, music, art and culture in the 21st century. This event is a celebration of 50 years of Mod not from its mysterious birth but when it swept across the whole of Britain. Since then it has reinvented itself time and time again to each new generation in keeping with the spirit of its pioneers and originators.

The four day event over the Easter Holidays 2014 will showcase all aspects of Mod music and culture spanning the last six decades. The Mod scene is now truly global as this event proved ten years ago when artists and disciples from all over the World descended on London for ‘Modstock 2 - 40 Years Of Mod

The whole festival will be filmed for a future DVD release and TV documentary so make sure you are part of this historical event

      GRAHAM DAY & THE FOREFATHERS

      Venue:100 Club, LondonDate:Sat, 08/02/2014 19:30

      AGMP presents

      GRAHAM DAY & THE FOREFATHERS

      + special guests

      + The Spitfires

      + DJ Dave Edwards

Graham Day – legendary vocalist, guitarist and songwriter for garage/psychedelic icons, The Prisoners. Long Heralded as one of the great lost bands and influential across so many quarters, The Prisoners story is a long one and continues as an ever increasing list of contemporary acts including The Charlatans, The Stone Roses & The Inspiral Carpets cite them as influences.

Part of the ’80s Medway garage/trash Scene, they soon began to set themselves apart, with their unique sound and at the time unfashionable inclusion of a Hammond Organ in the instrumentation. Played of course by James Taylor (pre-James Taylor Quartet).

Following the demise of The Prisoners, Graham Day and Allan Crockford joined forces with Wolf Howard and later Fay Hallam, to form The Prime Movers, a rockier more progressive sound including the Earth Church LP, which was hailed by the now defunct Sounds Music Weekly as LP of the year.

The chaps later returned to their famous garage sound with the formation of The Solar Flares, some truly great LPs and live shows followed, before most recently Graham went on to form Graham Day & The Gaolers.

The new project, Graham Day & the Forefathers, featured Graham Day on Guitar / Vocals, Allan Crockford on Bass / Vocals and Wolf Howard on Drums. Expect to hear a mixture of new and old material tonight.

    • Hello, I stumbled accross a band the other day on BANDCAMP called DEADLY LONG LEGS.

      http://deadlylonglegs.bandcamp.com/

      I think they sound ACE.

Has anyone else heard or seen them?

Also I think they've already split-up, I think this is a cryin' shame.

      :(
