Wow.
A friend of mine sent me this link today... it's a 1951 Cadillac Hearse that used to belong to the Ottumwa, Iowa '60s garage band MADD, who I've never heard, but were idolized by Craig Moore & his band GONN (who were also from Iowa). Anyway, this thing is in Memphis, Missouri and is for sale for just $650! (Yeah, it needs a little work...)
The Rolling beatles
Did you guys see Jagger on Saturday Night Live last weekend? He played a with the Foo Fighters and Arcade Fire and sang a silly song with Jeff Beck on guitar. Pretty entertaining.
Beatles usually hide under stones,
But when they come out from under,
They can give you a nasty bite.
True!
You could try the Girobabies http://thegirobabies.bandcamp.com/ or Atomic Suplex http://thegirobabies.bandcamp.com/
Not psyche but very good nonetheless
I forgot Los Peyotes! I love these fucking guys!!!!
Alison, I discovered spanish garage rock recently and I'm going nuts for it! Stuff like Los explosivos, wau YLos Arrrghs!!!, Doctor Explosion, I heard a couple of songs from Los Vigilantes and really like them but having hard time find there music. You know where I can get there records? Thanks!
FIDLAR, Head on Electric (H.o.D), Van Buren Boys, Ty Segall,
I just received an album in the mail from a band call The Treasure Fleet. Not so much garage as it is 60s mod and psych. It'd definitely say it's worth at least a listen.
You should read GET BENT. They write about great bands like OBN IIIs, Mind Spiders, Los Vigilantes, The Barreracudas, Mean Jeans, Radar Eyes, and The Mallard.
Lantern, Wild Evel and The Trashbones, The Broken Vinyl Club, Allah La's, Meisha and The Spanks, Acid Baby Jesus, Johnny Throttle, Bazooka, The Screaming Females, Death Set, Ian & The Aztecs, A Place To Bury Strangers, and The Junahoos. Just to name a few of the new stuff that I dig., you dig!!!!
Listen to the Liminanas, french "yéyé" psych band:

Certainly Estrus, Rip Off, and SFTRI. By the way, Crypt isn't defunct. They still put out new records. Just put out an LP by Atomic Suplex a few months ago.
Did you ever go to a site called Bunnybass? It was gallery after gallery of bizarre looking Bass Guitars. Its gone now, a real shame.
Wow, they are really bad! Very crude, the original bridge was something like balsa wood wrapped in metallic foil. Communist era prudence combined with little to no guitar building experience went into these Urals. The wiring is the craziest thing I've ever seen! Once they're wired point to point they sound great! Here's a good article about the Ural guitars, and they're still cheap to buy.
Nice! Yeah, I have read that they're unplayable junk, looks like you proved them wrong. Were the frets really that bad? Was it wear, or just poor work?
Has anyone ever played a Russian guitar??? Here's a Ural video demo we did...
Read the site, Chris. It's all there in black & white. Also, there was no jury trial. Please read through the thread and the associated links for all the info.

Was this a libel action? If so, what defence did you use? I'd have gone for justification, even though you have to prove it. Fair comment would be easier, as you state the facts and show how you came to that consclusion.
If not, I'd have gone for a public interest defence.
I'm glad you got through to the end and a jury found in your favour.

That kicks ass.
