    • Dead Boy has it right. Manitoba's is a great bar. Cheap, great jukebox. Good place to start your night. Ask bartenders if you're looking for some live stuff. All good people.

    • Further north man, further north. Santa Cruz is pretty solid, but anything north of the bay past Sonoma is a good bet.

    • LOS VIGILANTES, from San Juan, Puerto Rico are an explosive four piece band filled with fuzz guitars and catchy vocal arrangements bringing back a combination of 60’s rythms with droopy 50’s doo-wop back up vocals that will take you back to juvenile dancehall frenzy of the 60’s with a touch of spanish punk rock.

The band comes from a close knit Puerto Rican punk/garage scene developing in San Juan for the past few years that has called attention in America and Europe for their spanish lyrics and interpretation of modern rock n roll revival! Playing with bands like Davila 666, Haunted George, Gaye Blades, Personal & the Pizzas, Gentlemen Jesse and His Men, Flamin Groovies, Turbo Fruits, Daddy Long Legs, The Barreracudas and Wau y los Arrrgs!!! Los Vigilantes have played all around Puerto Rico and NY for the past 3 years and will be  Playing Eli's Mile High Club in Oakland Ca. on Monday March 26th. We need a couple area bands to play and hopefully loan them some backline If interested contact Tony at tonyfingers13@hotmail.com or reply to this post.

You can hear their whole album here:  http://slovenly.bandcamp.com/album/los-vigilantes-self-titled-lp

Here's a video for one of my favorite tracks from their album "Ven Vamos":  http://vimeo.com/groups/8432/videos/17972132

    • We have a fantastic gig coming up on St. Patty's Day. We would love to have a really cool poster for facebook and the many websites we will be trying to gather people to come out with.

Of course this is a labor of love for us and there is almost no money to be had, but this maybe a good chance to promote your work or just an exercise in futility for you. We will be forever grateful to all who respond and well include free downloads to anyone who wants them.
