Here's one you probably don't have, but is an amazing live recording from a Minneapolis band who was around in the late '70s playing wild & raucous garage trash when no one else was! It's insanely good...

    • Dave, I'm in awe of your Cramps collection. I lost about 2/3rds of my Cramps stuff when I moved to Canada and am still building back up my collection. They're a huge band for me. I was a teenage punk rocker who bought Songs the Lord Taught Us in a Virginia Beach record store on a whim 23 years ago and it became the alpha and omega of everything I've listened to since.

    • "Psychedelic Sunrise" by the Chesterfield Kings.  I also really like "61/49" by the Romantics.

I also like all of those Cynics' albums that John mentioned earlier, especially "Rock'n'Roll."

      Two points:

1)any one know any cheap organs.

2)can any one post how to play some songs;96 tears, liar liar, and some similar organ parts.

To be fair, for any one wondering Dirty water is just;D,G,C,B (triads, note B is quite complex cause the layout of the keys means a standerd triad is Bm diminished).

Also the basis for 96 tears is a C7 chord (C with a Bflat added at the high end) and G

    • Show #365: "Moon Songs"

Every 3 weeks I leave an open slot to do random themes and whatnot. This week's theme is The Moon. All songs have something to do with the Moon, moonlight, moonbeams, etc etc. I've selected a nice mix of psych, garage, surf, prog and pop of the 60's and 70's all having to do with the Moon! Tune in tonight to hear "moon songs" by bands and artists like: Gandalf, Tommy Roe, King Crimson, Yesterday's Children, The Magic Mixture, Paul Revere & The Raiders, The Gamblers, Joe Byrd & The Field Hippies, Kissing Spell, Jonathan King, Nick Drake, Amon Duul II, Linn County, The Deep, The Mothers Of Invention, Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Nice, Slapp Happy, Procol Harum, Sparks, The Fourth Way, Kevin Ayers & The Whole World, Taste, Paladin, and many others!!

    • Seems some people in the UK are embarrassed that Mumford & Sons were chosen as the entertainment for the White House's state dinner with David Cameron. A columnist at The Telegraph wrote, "Where once we sent the Americans the Beatles, the Stones, the Who and David Bowie, now we can only extend to Mumford & Sons... Imagine the bemusement of senior members of the White House team forced to watch Mumford & Sons play. Only a few weeks ago they were hosting a sizzling White House blues concert featuring Buddy Guy, BB King and Mick Jagger."

Indeed, if true I'm sure there was a lot of "bemusement" taking place.
