Big thanks to Steve Terrell and Joey camp for kicking this group into action.
Let's try and put the Dick back into Dixie and the C**t into Country!

Thanks a lot for spreading the word both in your review and here.....Volume two should be out next month with a few cool surprises.
Thanks Steve I've registered and downloaded just need to find the time to listen now!!
We have our cool GaragePunk compilations here at the Hideout. But for a cool free compilation of new rockin' hillbilly sounds check out the Southern Independent compilation put together by Shooter (son of Waylon) Jennings and Adam Sheets (a Hideout member) http://www.givememyxxx.com/ I recently reviewed the compilation in my column (along with the new Bloodshot Bill album, which also is bitchen.) http://steveterrell.blogspot.com/2011/07/terrells-tuneup-bloodshot-bill-plus.html
Photo was taken live at the Hootenanny July 2 2011 Irvine, CA
Last time I saw them was in Minneapolis, Mn at the Uptown Bar & Grill right before I moved south 16 years ago. It was great to see them again!
Misfit Photos
Hellbilly is the last album i've got, not sure if I can stretch the genre to cattlemetal!
I think you nailed it.....or one of those horrid experimental albums John and Yoko used to do.
23 tracks of speed-metal cattle auctions? Sounds like Hank3's answer to Lou Reed's Metal Machine music.
Has anybody else here heard Hank 3's new "cattlecore" album? It's basically speed metal with cattle auctioneering over top. Overall, I love the concept but I'm not a big fan of the execution. If he had chosen to make this one song on an album, it would have been a great diversion, but by making it a 23 track album, it's overkill.
despite the fact that I have a lot of podcasts to catch up on last year's Gaslight Anthem and the Janelle Monáe record from 2010 keep getting some play from me. Everything else from last year only gets in my ears once and a while.
If i like something enough to purchase it, chances are I won't tire of it quickly.
Thrill seeking is fun. Some albums are great in the moment others become favourites. I have my favourite eras but I’ve traded mountains of albums over the years.
I keep my mp3 player loaded with newer music (2005-now) only.
That way the newest tunes don't get lost in the "shuffle"...
here we are, shout 'em out which ones are your faves?
I'll start with:
Poison Love by Blood On the Saddle
Yeah, it works on my Ideos Android phone! X-) Great!
..i need to call Kopper.....would somebody mind blowing up the airship and breaking out the winches , pulley's & semaphore flags please?

It's a "cell phone." You know, a cellular phone that you use to make "phone calls" to TALK to people, not surf the Web or download apps or any of that crap.
And yeah, I know all about the "benefits" of owning a smart phone, but frankly, I don't care. I survived just fine for 45 years without it. And my wallet likes the extra money from not having to pay for text messaging or data plans every month. But that's just me.

I was really disappointed when I didn't feel any smarter after buying a smart phone...

I stand by the statement that you guys all need to look into what is going on with surf in the Southeast right now. There is a 4th wave revival brewing. All of these bands, including my own, are really making a name for themselves.
Daikaiju
El Fossil
Necronomikids
Kill, Baby...Kill!
Monterreys
The Mystery Men?
and a hell of a lot of others that are slipping my mind at the moment...
Agreed 1000000%:):):)

Yeah! We're gonna dive too.
Hey guys, we mix surf with vocals so check us out and put our music on the Garage Punk Surfcast! Songs are available on Musicalley Let us know what you think...
The First Four Years (containing all of the early EPs) and of course Damaged are both classics in their own right, but besides the title track of My War, I can't stand anything that Rollins' Black Flag released afterward.
