Thanks for the UGLY THINGS shout outs. I'll try to check in here more often. The new issue (#30!) will be out next week. It's a KINKS special including an extensive interview with Ray Davies by Jon Savage (done in '83/'84 but mostly unpublished before now). Also featured: the Masters Apprentices, the Hysterics, the Nervebreakers & more. Order it at www.ugly-things.com

Another one that sometimes has really cool interviews in it is Carbon 14, comes with a CD as well...usually cover some rasslin', porn, art etc as well as cool tunes. http://www.c14.com/ This may be a dumb question, but i live in Canada and have NEVER seen an ish of Roctober...checked out their website and couldn't see any way of ordering or subscribing...how does one get Roctober??? Never mind, i found a place...http://www.dustygroove.com/featured.php?cat=33 guess the edit on this works...LOL.

Thanks for the responses people. I actually have a few old issues of Rocktober and Ugly Things. I didn't even realize they were still going. I remember I had the Rocktober "History of Masked Rock n Roll" issue which was really cool.
I'll check out the rest too. Thanks in advance to anybody else who adds something.

In a lot of ways its my favorite because of the open submission policy. If you send Jake something, he'll always consider it for publication. kopper said:
Oh yeah! Roctober is fantastic! Thanks for mentioning that one... I'd completely forgotten about it.

Any fans of the Technicolor Web of Sound podcast channel? Although most of the format hasn't been updated much in the past 10 years I never get tired of listening to those great psych records.
Here's da link:

Yep, that scream at the beginning of "Girl Can't Dance" was immediately what I thought

No one beats Roslie. But, Bob Ledbetter from the Villians has some classic screams in Don't Ever Leave Me.

Gotta be Screaming Jay Hawkins and Screaming Lord Sutch. I mean, hell it is part of their names!
I also really dig the screams in the Sonics 'Psycho'.
