I need some help - This Sept/October's podcast is about boxing. I have a few tracks but am looking for some songs I may not have heard - preferably in the garage punk vein.
Any recommendations? Any type of fisticuffs will do.
I'm not using Dylan's "Hurricane" as it is 4 days long.

Ona recent episode of The Big Enchilada, I played "Davy, You Upset My Home" by Joe Tex. It's about a guy who's jealous because his girl is really into Davy Crockett. (I think this is from the late '50s when Davy Crockett was a very popular TV show.)
The girl even buys Davy Crockett false teeth because, Joe sings, "I punched her in the mouth last night."
Another line: "I whipped her so until she went insane. And now she wants to buy herself a Davy Crockett brain."

This Jabbers song fits the bill as well as this Angry Samoans tune that by today's standards are certainly offensive!

Please don't judge me, but I really like the Yeah Yeah Yeah's... They have this really cool vibe and of course, the amazing vocals of Karen O. They've got plenty of good records that prove their greatness.
And of course, can't forget about Janis Joplin. Good vocals, lyrical content and of course, good music in overall.
